Exhibition

The CMMP division annual conference will take place at the Lancashire County Cricket Club in Manchester, between 13 and 15 December 2011.
The exhibition will open on Monday 12 December with a welcome drinks reception and will close after an exhibitor's reception on Tuesday 13 December.  The exhibition is expected to attract more than 400 participants from academic and industrial backgrounds.

Confirmed Exhibitors

Stand 1 - Oxford Instruments Nanoscience
Oxford Instruments NanoScience is a world leader in the design and supply of high performance cryogenic and cryogen free environments for ultra low temperature and high magnetic field applications in physics, chemistry and materials science research. The product range includes high field superconducting magnets to 22T, cryogen-free magnets to 18 T, split pairs, vector rotate and custom magnets, He3 inserts, dilution refrigerators, optical cryostats and cryogenic accessories.

Stand 2 - IOP Publishing
IOP Publishing provides publications through which leading-edge scientific research is distributed worldwide. Beyond our traditional journals programme, we make high-value scientific information easily accessible through an ever-evolving portfolio of community websites, magazines, conference proceedings and a multitude of electronic services. Focused on making the most of new technologies, we're continually improving our electronic interfaces to make it easier for researchers to find exactly what they need, when they need it, in the format that suits them best.
Put simply, we're more than a physics publisher - we are an essential partner to the science community.

Stand 3 - Claridge Scientific Ltd

Stand 4 - Cryogenic Ltd
Cryogenic Ltd is a market leader in cryogen free technology to the construction of high field superconducting magnets for fields up to 22 Tesla. The company pioneered the first helium free magnet system over 15 years ago and now has the highest distribution of cryogen free magnet systems globally.

Cryogenic is the only company to have total in-house capabilities of building complete superconducting magnet systems, from designing a solution for customer research needs, winding the coil, machining the cryostat outer, building the suitable electronics and testing. All under one roof. Ensuring highest quality control at each stage of production.

Cryogenic continues to lead the market in the magnet technology by its recent deliveries of high field measurement systems to 18 Tesla with a Vibrating Sample Magnetometer and Specific heat probe, Ultra low temperature 3D vector field magnet with temperatures down to 10 mK, interchangeable cryogen free magnet with He-3 and DR insert and 7 Tesla magnet capable of rapid ramp-up operation.

Stand 5 - Henniker Scientific Ltd
Henniker Scientific supply a comprehensive range of scientific instruments & UHV systems for thin film deposition, vacuum gas analysis and surface science. Our range includes the industry leading highest transmission and resolution quadrupole mass spectrometers, ion and electron sources, residual gas analysers, UV sources and bespoke turnkey multi-technique deposition (thermal evapouration, sputtering, PLD) and analysis (XPS, SPM, SIMS, LEED, Auger) systems. The range of instruments is further complimented by plasma surface modification systems for UHV surface preparation and surface functionalisation. From UHV transfer and sample heating/cooling stages to bespoke cluster deposition systems, we can build a key part, if not all of your next research system.

Stand 6 - AWE
For over 60 years, AWE has been synonymous with science, engineering and technology to support the UK's defence programme. Orion, the UK's largest laser facility, will allow scientists to study densities and temperatures found nowhere else on earth.  As a trusted partner to UK government, AWE plays a pivotal role supportng the UK contribution to international arms control treaties and national emergency response solutions. Our science, engineering and technology skills deliver a range of innovative and integrated support services, including radiation protection advice, national nuclear security and related training services.

Stand 7 - EPSRC funded access to instruments for nanomaterials research
The EPSRC currently provides free access for academia to the set of instruments for nanomaterial research and fabrication across the country. The exhibit will provide information about the instruments and ways to get the access. On December 15th the CMMP delegates will have an opportunity to join a dedicated session of the past and current equipment users. The session will present the work done on unique state-of-the-art facilities and will allow to establish contacts with the service providers and EPSRC representatives responsible for the program.

Stand 9 - HIDEN Analytical Ltd
Hiden Analytical celebrates more than 25 years of design, development and manufacture of quadrupole mass spectrometers. Our products address a diverse range of applications - precision gas analysis, plasma diagnostics by direct measurement of plasma ions and ion energies, SIMS probes for UHV surface science, catalysis performance quantification, thermo-gravimetric studies - over a pressure range extending from 30 bar processes down to UHV/XHV.

Hiden Analytical was founded in 1981 and is presently situated in a 2,130m2 manufacturing plant in Warrington, England with a staff of 60. As a privately owned company our reputation is built on creating close and positive relationships with our... clients. Many of these customers are working at the forefront of new technology - in the fields of plasma research, surface science, vacuum processing and gas analysis. To maintain this reputation we have, over the years, established exceptional levels of technical expertise in these areas within our company.
